To initiate a job, I need to know as much information as possible about the job you are wanting. From that job scope given, I then structure that information into a cost quote of what the foreseen total will be.

Cost quotes are your binding contract if you agree to use my services. From there I need signed approval for the job and to ensure your financial commitment, I also need one-third of the cost quote paid before I begin. That pre-payment ensures you are guaranteed the quoted cost as well as your commitment to the job. If the job stays within the initial scope you provided, then expect to pay the cost quote and no more.

If the scope of your job changes at any point, an additional cost quote will be generated, which you will again need to approve. One-third of the re-submitted cost quote is not necessary unless the sum of the additional cost quote is greater than the initial cost quote.
